Breena Bard is a writer and illustrator who makes graphic novels in Portland, Oregon. In 2011 Breena was awarded a Xeric Grant to self-publish her debut graphic novel Picket Line. She is currently working on her second graphic novel, and a webcomic about animals called Oaks. She has a love/hate relationship with speech balloons.
